As a new nonprofit officially launching October 2020, And I Stand has entered the nonprofit community making impactful strides to bring awareness to causes that affect the Black community and other communities of color. See some of And I Stand 2020 major accomplishments below:
-Lead in Domestic Violence (DV) Awareness Efforts overseeing and planning three virtual DV events in collaboration with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Omicron Gamma Zeta Chapter . See links to DV events below:
-Official launch of the And I Stand #NoMoreChallenge . See attached pictures.
-Reached over 3500+ people with our platforms/collaborator resources through educational programs and resources
-Provided toys to the Fort Bend Women's Shelter for children that were affected by domestic violence and/or other trauma for their annual Christmas event. -Sponsored two single parent families that were affected by domestic violence and/or abuse for the holidays. See attached pictures; Director of Finance & Outreach, Kuntumie Holston delivered gifts on behalf of And I Stand.
-Officially chosen as the premier nonprofit by the Area Council of Zeta for their 101 years founders' week event
-Officially chosen as the premier nonprofit for Art in the Park Houston III hosted by Board Member, Mr. Kevin Trent.
-Gifted a book titled Unmasking the Truth Behind "I'm Good" by four authors that tackle the traumas covered by And I Stand.
-Received the Bronze Seal of Transparency with Guidestar.
-Recognized on AmazonSmile as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
With the accomplishments made by And I Stand in such a short period of time, this organization is looking forward to 2021 in an effort to further provide support and resources to communities of color! Be on the lookout, And I Stand has some great educational events and opportunities on the horizon.
